Well santa (aka the postman) arrived late for me this week when he delivered my parcel of the new and deliciously exciting material that i order a few weeks ago! ok, so i did go a little nuts with the fabric but i really just couldn't resist, there were just too much variety to choose from! and i didn't help that they were having a 20% off sale! :) so here's a quick sneaky peak at my new goodies....
I had to resist the urge to dive right in and start cutting it all up to make all the new projects i have in mind, before i washed the fabric!! Im sure my fellow sewists out there can relate to this...
Anyway, check back here in the coming week for some sneaky peeks at some exciting new projects....

As the silly season settles and a new year starts, i find myself looking forward to 2010 with excitement.It has been a whirlwind and exciting first six months for JK Creations and i have loved making my cards and invitations. It gives me such a thrill to see people open a beautiful handmade card, it just means so much more!
But as i plan bigger and better things for JK Creations in 2010, i find my creative side drawn to different projects outside paper craft. I will continue making and selling my cards, though this year i will be adding a variety of different products....
i aim to get my online shop up and running, as well start doing weekend market stalls. I have been giving the old sewing machine quite a workout of late, with quite a few projects in the pipeline, hopefully to share with you soon...
So here's to the new year, i hope the it holds new, exciting and creative things for you all......

i would just like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas. 2009 has seen the launch of JK Creations and i am so pleased with how it is progressing. Thank you to all who have supported me in my first year and i am looking forward to a bigger and better year in 2010!

Well it beginning to look a lot like christmas now in out house. With the last of my christmas card orders going out i have been turning my attention to my Christmas gifts for this year....
I have been roaming my local handmade markets for the last few months in search of some wonderful handmade goodies to go under the tree this year and seeing all the beautiful things that people are making out there actually inspired me this year to resurrect my sewing machine that has been hibernating in my sewing cabinet to come up with some handmade Christmas gifts....
And i must say that it has rekindled my love of sewing! So with some fabulous patterns off Etsy and some funky fabric from my local quilting store, i have been sewing up a storm...
I stumbled across this fabulous pattern for this clutch, which i upsized to make some vintage make-up bags for my oldest and best friends.....
And it seems to have worked because i think the line at our Christmas lunch was
"Forget Oronton, i'm going vintage". There's something to be said for handmade gift, do you think?!
